In order to become a member in GRACE Homeschool Fellowship you must do the following:

You must also serve in at least 2 service areas (roles) during the year.  The more you are involved, the more fellowship (and friendships) you will have!  It also takes a group of people working together to make a homeschool group successful!  One person can't do it all.  There are a variety of roles available, so you are sure to find some that will appeal to you and allow you to use your gifts and talents.

All members are required to attend 2 annual meetings.  There will be one in the fall and one in the spring.  The design and plan for these meetings is a time to meet other members and socialize, to share where the group is at, and share the vision for where we are going.  It is a time to ask questions and share information.  It is also a time to meet other members and get to know them.  The goal is a fun night out!  You are expected to attend if at all possible.  You can bring your children if necessary.

All members are required to receive important GRACE Notes system generated emails.

All members are also required to join GroupMe and follow the main GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Chat.  There are other GRACE Chats that will be available, but the main one is required.

POTENTIAL ROLES:

All members must fulfil at least 2 roles, but can serve more. Typically people choose one fall and one spring activity. It takes a team of people to run a successful homeschool group!  ANY EVENTS THAT DO NOT HAVE A TEAM LEADER OR A LARGE ENOUGH TEAM MIGHT NOT HAPPEN!  Please consider volunteering as a floater in case we need extra people.  If you want EXTRA specific roles assigned, please make comments in the note to admin section.

· Homeschool Day Coordinator: Find public homeschool days that member’s might be interested in and add them to the calendar. (Think history centers, museums, library programs, parks and rec programs, etc.) 1 role

· Enrichment Coordinator: Arrange for group bookings to Arts related performances and field trips. (Symphony, puppets, theatre performances, etc.) Counts as 2 roles. (You could split this role with another person and count it as one role each.) Should have at least 1 Arts related trip a month. Note: you do not have to attend the performances, you just need to make sure the attendees have instructions.

· Age group leader: Responsible for booking age specific activities and field trips. Can have assistance from other people, but needs to make sure there are plenty of activities available for their specific age group. Age group leaders also work to encourage friendships and attendance at events. Counts as 2 roles. This person also serves on the Advisory Council.

· Field trip coordinators: Do you like booking field trips and making plans? You can help book either age specific field trips or whole group (multi-age) field trips. 1 role per successful field trip.

· Special event team leader: Leads a team of people to plan and carry out a special event. 2 roles Note: Preference is given to people who have led a similar event in the past. You are also responsible for keeping in contact with your team and keeping the directors in the loop on your group’s plans.

· Special event team participant: Participates on a team for a special event. Works with the team leader to share ideas, plan, and carry out the event. 1 role

· Park day host team: Works together to make sure we have a variety of days and times available. Pick your day, pick your time, pick your park, list it on the website calendar, and show up! Make sure you communicate any last minute updates to attendees via GroupMe. This is a great role for people who plan to go to park days anyway. 1 role Note: make sure your park day doesn’t interfere with another group activity already listed. Team should plan 1 park day a week.

· Floater: If you fail to show up or perform your assigned roles, you will be expected to fill in as a floater. A floater may be assigned to a new special event service team or expected to show up early to help set up an event where there is no formal service team. If you are willing to take on more than your 2 roles, you would also sign up for this.
