Purpose of Waiver

This Liability Waiver and Release Agreement (“Agreement”) is executed as a condition of participation in any activity, event, field trip, or gathering (“Activities”) organized by GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Inc, a Christian homeschool social group.

 

Assumption of Risks

I/we acknowledge and accept that participation in GRACE Homeschool Fellowship activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

General Risks

  • Trips, falls, scrapes, cuts, bruises, sprains, or other injuries
  • Exposure to outdoor elements or weather conditions
  • Contact with play equipment, furniture, pets, or other environmental hazards
  • Travel risks when driving to or from Activities
  • Unsupervised play or interaction with other children
  • Damage or loss of property

Venue-Specific Risks

  • Activities held in private homes, church facilities, parks, libraries, or public/community/commercial venues may present additional safety risks (e.g., stairs, pools, playground equipment, unfenced areas, animals).

Communicable Diseases (Including COVID-19)

  • Participation may expose attendees to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases (e.g., influenza, RSV, strep, gastrointestinal viruses, new or unknown diseases or pandemics).
  • I/we understand that transmission of such diseases cannot be fully prevented, even with precautions.

 

Medical Conditions and Allergies

  • Some Activities may involve snacks or meals that could expose individuals to food allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten, etc.).
  • Outdoor events may expose participants to insect bites, plants, or environmental allergens.
  • Not all activities are suitable for children with medical conditions, parents are responsible for the well-being of their children.

I/we voluntarily accept and assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with these Activities for myself and my children.

 

Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency where I/we cannot be reached:

  • I/we authorize GRACE Homeschool Fellowship representatives to arrange necessary medical treatment for myself or my children.
  • I/we accept full financial responsibility for all resulting medical expenses.

 

Health and Participation Agreement

I/we agree that:

  • I/we will not attend Activities if anyone in my household is experiencing fever, contagious illness, or has been recently exposed to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases.
  • I/we will inform the group leadership of any severe allergies or medical conditions relevant to participation.

Supervision and Responsibility

  • Parents/guardians are solely responsible for the supervision and behavior of their children at all Activities and events.
  • GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Directors, officers, members, and volunteers do not provide professional childcare or guaranteed safety oversight.

I/we grant permission for photographs or videos of my family taken during Activities to be used in group communications, newsletters, or social media for non-commercial, ministry purposes.

Release of Liability

In consideration for participation in GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Inc, I/we, on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, executors, administrators, heirs, and any representatives:

  • Release, indemnify, discharge, and hold harmless GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Inc, its Directors, officers, volunteers, members, venue hosts, and partnering organizations from all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of any injuries, illnesses (including communicable diseases), allergic reactions, medical incidents, property damage, or other losses sustained during or resulting from Activities with GRACE Homeschool Fellowship.
  • Waive the right to bring any legal action, claim, or demand for damages against GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Inc or its representatives, owners, officials, officers, directors, volunteers, or members.

 

Acknowledgment and Acceptance

I/we have read and fully understand this Comprehensive Liability Waiver and Release Agreement. I/we:

  • Voluntarily sign this Agreement without coercion.
  • Understand that this waiver remains valid for all Activities organized by GRACE Homeschool Fellowship Inc, unless revoked in writing.
  • Accept personal responsibility for the health, safety, and behavior of myself and my children during participation.
